parents as teachers (pat)

What do you mean there’s no handbook for knowing how to raise a child?!?
PAT is an evidence based early childhood program that provides home visits to support new or expecting parents. Through monthly visits, parents develop a better understanding of child development, expectations, and gain creative skills to support school readiness.
How does PAT work?

Independent evaluations show that at age three PAT children are significantly more advanced in language, social development, problem solving and other cognitive abilities when compared with non-PAT children.
Parents benefit too!
PAT parents are more involved in their children’s early learning and development, are more confident in their parenting role, and read more to their children.
